Situated in the beautiful views of Northumberland, Close House’s No.19 restaurant is a contemporary and state-of-the-art facility offers the highest service in a relaxed and unrivalled setting.

No.19 is a place where comforting home-cooked food is served in a contemporary environment, where you can enjoy some of our regions finest produce. Whether you are grabbing a quick bite after a round of golf, enjoying dinner in No.19 or a light lunch on the terrace, you can relax in stunning surroundings in the heart of the Northumberland countryside.

No.19 also offers a restaurant and function room both with panoramic views over the Tyne Valley that has the capacity to cater for individuals right up to parties of 140 residents. Members and the local community are certain to spend many hours admiring the view while tasting the best of Northumberland’s local produce.

Our No.19 restaurant offers more than just fancy dining experiences- from afternoon tea to Sunday lunches, we provide a range of events that you and your guests are certain to enjoy. If you’re looking to join us for afternoon tea we do require a minimum of 24hours notice so please ensure you mention this in your online booking notes. The Chefs

Our head chef, Toby Goodwin, joined us from St Brides Hotel and Spa in Pembrokeshire where he was head chef for 15 years. Prior to this, he had worked at Wentworth Golf Club. Toby is joined by new sous chef Robert Eden-Bagley.

No.19 is all about the best in local seafood, meats and vegetables, used to create, flavour-packed seasonal dishes for you to enjoy in beautiful surroundings overlooking the stunning Tyne Valley.

Our chefs insist on sourcing the very best local ingredients from small, independent and artisan producers within the North East. This means that our menus are shaped by seasonal availability, changing regularly to reflect what’s growing in the region right now.
