Our Close House Hero for April Always Offers a Warm Welcome

When you arrive at Close House, you’re always ensured a warm welcome with Helen on reception. She joined the golf services team back in 2019 and although she’s done stints in the Golf Academy and golf shop, she’s in her element on guest reception, welcoming our visitors with a smile and all the information they need to enjoy their stay.

“I’m a real people person and love meeting our members and guests and looking for ways to make the time they spend here at Close House truly special. The devil is always in the detail and it’s amazing what you can fathom out during check-in! I can spot a birthday or anniversary to tell chef about so we can acknowledge that at dinner, or if our estate walks map might be just the ticket for a Sunday stroll.”

“She really is a safe pair of hands, says golf services manager Kerry Watson. “Her customer care and attention to detail is second to none and can often spot what people need before they even realise it! She often goes above and beyond and never leaves until all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed.”
